JASMINE RAUSCH  YTRX-800, E-RYT

“Jasmine Rausch is a shining star graduate of the Yoga Therapy Rx Program at Loyola Marymount University.”

                                              – Larry Payne Ph.D

I am a certified yoga therapist based in Los Angeles, California; inspired by and trained in the tradition of T.K.V. Desikachar.

As a teen, I struggled daily with horrible back pain. I would rate my pain as a 8+/10 on most days. My intuition told me to dive heavily into a therapeutic yoga practice focusing solely on rehabilitating my back. The changes in pain level and posture were immediate. I was learning how to move and understand my body in a whole way.

Yoga was not only making me more aware of my physical body, but also was bringing attention to the other areas of my life that may have been contributing to my pain, like my work.  It took discipline and commitment and about a year later I was walking around pain free for the first time since I could remember. This practice became a way of life as I found myself returning to yoga for my mental and emotional well being.

I practiced for 10 years before heading into my first teacher training. Through this experience, I found the Clinical Yoga Therapy Program at LMU, and as they say, “the rest is history.”

Since completing the yoga therapy program and gaining clinical experience working with chronic pain patients at the Venice Family Clinic – Simms/Mann Health and Wellness center, my passion for this field has grown even greater. I have witnessed how yoga therapy weaves seamlessly into contemporary western medicine, resulting in a more well rounded patient care program and improved quality of life. I am committed to my journey as a life long student, continually researching, learning and sharpening my craft.

R.O.O.T. Yoga Therapy has both a private clinical practice and an on site corporate yoga therapy program passionately committed to mind body health. We work with individuals and organizations to create specific plans, educate on how environmental and lifestyle factors contribute to overall health and share tools to improve well-being and quality of life.

My role as a yoga therapist and educator is to give my clients tools that can be learned and easily integrated into their daily lives in order to promote and support their body’s natural healing system. To achieve this, my clients are scheduled for private weekly sessions.

I have experience working with a range of chronic health conditions from chronic pain and autoimmune disease to anxiety and depression.

I received a bachelor’s degree in communication studies from California State University, Northridge and earned my credentials in Clinical Yoga Therapy from Loyola Marymount University, the first and only university accredited in the United States. I am a member of the National Yoga Alliance (YA) and the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT).

My gratitude extends to some of my most influential teachers:
